Squiggletography

Squiggletography

Using long exposure times to create light trails and interesting pictures… In case you’re wondering, this was created using a low light scene down by the docks with calm water and boats. I rotated the camera (this is easy with a small device like the Nokia 808) while “focusing” on a green light reflection. If you do it enough times, you can get something that looks decent, ironically this was the first shot 🙂

I think I’ll use this word “Squiggletography” to describe these kind of shots, since I don’t know what else they are called… I did see “light graffiti” once but usually they just call it “long exposure squiggles”. I’ve got more squiggletography coming, it is such a fun and relatively easy thing to do, or you can make it complicated if you want 🙂
